Quantum Algorithms Developer
At Qarakal Quantum, we’re not just building quantum computers — we’re reimagining what quantum computing can be from the ground up. Based on superconducting qubits, we are creating modular and scalable quantum systems engineered for real-world impact. We believe true innovation happens when the entire stack is designed together. That’s why our co-design philosophy unites hardware, algorithms, and applications into one integrated effort that drives breakthroughs beyond incremental progress. If you’re ready to push the boundaries of physics, math, and engineering, and help invent the architectures of tomorrow’s quantum future, this is the place for you! Role overview We are looking for a Quantum Algorithms Developer to join our Algorithms & Applications Team . This role goes beyond implementing known algorithms—you will help define how quantum algorithms are structured in a modular, hardware-native architecture. You will work at the interface of theory and system design, translating high-level algorithmic primitives into modular building blocks. This includes rethinking algorithm decomposition, resource allocation, and execution models under realistic quantum architectural constraints. Responsibilities Research, design, and implement quantum algorithms driven by real-world application needs and aligned with hardware capabilities. Build simulation, benchmarking, and validation pipelines for both algorithmic performance and quantum hardware compatibility. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to validate algorithms and quantum processors. Perform resource estimation and complexity analysis under realistic hardware constraints (noise, connectivity, timing, control bandwidth). Stay current with developments in quantum information science and identify opportunities to integrate them into our stack. Qualifications MSc in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (focus on quantum computing is a plus). Strong understanding of applied statistics, classical optimization, and graph theory. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++, or equivalent OOP language. Nice to have PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent. Familiarity with quantum compilation, circuit optimization, or architecture-aware scheduling. Publications or demonstrated research contributions in quantum algorithms or quantum information.
