IT Support Engineer – Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud (Help Desk + 3rd Tier)

Are you a Microsoft infrastructure expert who thrives on solving complex problems — from end-user tickets all the way to deep-level engineering? We're looking for a versatile IT professional who can handle the full support spectrum, from helping users day-to-day to architecting solutions for our clients' on-prem and cloud environments. About the Role You'll serve as a key technical resource supporting our clients across both on-premises Microsoft infrastructure and Microsoft 365 cloud services. Most of your work will be done remotely, with occasional on-site visits to client locations when hands-on presence is needed. What You'll Do Provide help desk support for end users across multiple client environments Own and resolve complex 3rd-tier escalations involving Microsoft on-prem and cloud infrastructure Administer and troubleshoot on-premises Active Directory , Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP Support and manage on-premises Exchange mail environments Administer Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online , SharePoint Online , Teams , Entra ID (Azure AD) , Intune, Conditional Access Policies Write, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and streamline operations Manage device enrollment, compliance policies, and configuration profiles in Intune Support hybrid identity environments (AD Connect / Entra Connect) Support backup solutions. Conduct periodic on-site visits to client offices as needed What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments Strong working knowledge of Active Directory , Exchange on-prem , and Group Policy Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access Policies) Solid PowerShell scripting skills — both writing new scripts and troubleshooting existing ones Experience with hybrid identity (AD Connect / Entra Connect sync) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting mindset Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting Nice to Have Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-203, MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300 or similar) Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint / Microsoft Security suite What We Offer Primarily remote work with flexibility Diverse client environments — no two days are the same Opportunities to grow into senior/architect-level roles
