Head of Marketing
About Huskeys Huskeys is reimagining web application protection for the modern era. As applications become increasingly dynamic, multi-cloud, and AI-driven, traditional WAFs struggle to keep up. We built the first Agentic Network Security Control Plane - an AI-powered mitigation layer that works with any existing WAF. Our platform helps security teams unify protection, measure effectiveness, reduce manual overhead, and create context-aware policies that block threats without disrupting business flows. At Huskeys, we believe context is the new attack surface, and that security should empower the business - not slow it down. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, AI-first Head of Marketing to build Huskeys’ marketing function from the ground up. This is a builder role for someone who can shape the narrative around modern WAF and application protection, position Huskeys as a top-tier cybersecurity brand, and turn marketing into a real pipeline engine. The mission is simple: make WAF feel modern, urgent, and business-critical, while building a marketing motion that supports Sales, creates demand, and drives measurable growth. This is not a role for someone who only wants to manage agencies or run high-level strategy. We need someone who can think clearly, write sharply, build fast, use AI intelligently, work closely with Sales, and create strong market presence with limited resources. Key Responsibilities Own Husky’s brand, narrative, messaging, and category positioning around modern WAF and application protection. Build and execute the marketing engine across demand generation, product marketing, content, events, ABM, sales enablement, and pipeline creation. Strengthen market credibility through customer stories, CISO community, partner marketing, analyst relations, PR, social presence, and founder thought leadership. Build AI-first marketing workflows and scalable marketing infrastructure that make the team faster, smarter, and more consistent. Day-to-Day Reality Most of your week will be spent building, writing, launching, analyzing, and improving. You will move constantly between strategy and execution: shaping the story, creating assets, supporting Sales, improving campaigns, preparing for events, and finding smarter ways to work using AI. You will work closely with the founders, Sales, Product, R&D, and Research, and you will be expected to bring clarity, speed, creativity, and strong marketing judgment into a fast-moving startup environment. Who You Are You’ll thrive here if: You have built, or helped build, a B2B marketing function in an early-stage startup. You know how to turn a technical product into a clear, sharp market narrative. You understand demand generation, pipeline creation, and revenue-oriented marketing. You are strong in both brand and business impact: you care about perception, but also about pipeline. You are AI-first in the way you work, using AI tools to shorten execution time, improve output quality, automate repetitive work, and create smarter marketing processes. You are hands-on, practical, creative, fast, and comfortable operating with ambiguity. Must-Haves 6+ years of B2B marketing experience. 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud security, application security, network security, or complex technical SaaS. Proven experience building or scaling marketing in an early-stage or growth-stage startup. Strong experience across product marketing, demand generation, events, content, sales enablement, and pipeline creation. Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve marketing execution, research, content, campaigns, or marketing operations. Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms. Strong ability to translate complex technical products into clear, business-oriented messaging. Strong Plus Experience marketing to CISOs, AppSec, DevSecOps, cloud security, infrastructure, or platform engineering audiences. Experience building the first marketing function in a startup with fewer than 50 people. Experience with Gartner or similar analyst relations. Experience turning cybersecurity events into a measurable pipeline. Experience with partner marketing and co-marketing with cloud, channel, or ecosystem partners. Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to build the marketing function from the ground up in a fast-moving cybersecurity startup attacking a large legacy market. You will have real ownership, direct access to the founding team, close partnership with Sales, Product, R&D, and Research, and the ability to shape how Huskeys is positioned, how the pipeline is created, and how the market understands our value. If you want to help make WAF modern, relevant, and impossible to ignore, this is the kind of role where your work will be highly visible and deeply impactful.
