Software Engineer, Cloud, Server-side Team Leader

XMPie is seeking an excellent and technically experienced Server-side Cloud Team Leader to lead the team developing our cloud-based SaaS product for the marketing automation and customer experience management. The product is a one of the newer products from a suite of products XMPie develops. The product consists of a visual active customer-journey diagram, where each block on the diagram represents a channel of communication with the customer. The team is also responsible for developing the email, SMS, and web channels, as well as analytics all on top of the AWS cloud. The work is very diverse, and the team has a lot of autonomy, and works in a friendly and agile environment. The backend team uses high profile technologies such as Amazon Web Services cloud Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, SES, Dynamo DB, Snowflake, EC2, C#, WCF, SQL Server, IIS and much more. You will lead the backend team as well as the product Scrum team as whole, working with Product Manager, frontend and QA team members. XMPie sells to SMBs as well as known enterprises like FedEx, Wells Fargo, Staples, Office Depot, Target, Chrysler, Fiat, Regus and many others. We are searching for team players who are enthusiastic about their work, able to do rapid development while focusing on high quality delivery, and who meets the following requirements Key Responsibilities Lead the Scrum team and the Server-side developers. Play an active role in the design and implementation of new features and functionality. Research, define and develop a cloud service based on Amazon cloud computing technology. Review and maintain existing code and improve its performance and reliability. Employ Scrum values, such as Commitment, Openness, and Respect. Requirements Proven experience in managing developers. 7+ years of hands-on design/development experience. B.Sc/BA in Computer Science or equivalent with high achievements from a reputable Academic Institution. Has very high practical knowledge of C# and SQL programming. Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS, EC2, Lambda, step functions, SQS, SES, …). Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented development and data structures. Gets things done in excellent quality. Experience in developing worldwide enterprise products. Known to be responsible, flexible and having good human communication skills. Practical experience in development of scalable and distributed servers. Has good understanding of network technologies. The following skills are highly preferable: Experience and understanding of multi-tier architectures. Experience in Databases and SaaS.
