Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Development Consultant focused exclusively on client acquisition. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new customers into active clients. The engagement begins with a 1-month pilot contract, designed as a focused period to evaluate performance, traction, and mutual fit — with strong potential to extend into a longer-term contract. Compensation includes a monthly base salary + commission on closed business, offering both stability and strong performance upside. This is an ideal role for a professional who thrives in outbound sales environments, enjoys building pipelines from scratch, and is motivated by ownership of revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and acquire new clients across biotech, pharma, research organizations, universities, and life-science companies Execute outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, calls, and industry networking Own the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement Maintain an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline Consistently meet or exceed client acquisition targets Collaborate with leadership on refining client acquisition strategy and messaging Provide ongoing market feedback based on prospect conversations Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition Background in life sciences / biotech / pharma / research services (preferred) Strong hunter mentality with a track record of closing deals Comfortable working independently in early-stage startup environments Highly organized, self-motivated, and execution-driven Excellent communication and negotiation skills Compensation Monthly base pay + performance-based commission (%) 1-month pilot contract with strong potential for extension Why Join Vareum Represent a growing platform offering high-value specialty lab products and select R&D services Work directly with senior leadership and influence early commercial growth Clear performance upside with meaningful long-term opportunity
