XMPie is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to be part of a team developing a web- based innovative and unique ecommerce solution. The solution is used to cater and sell personalized, customized and static products. The product is the cash cow of the company and is in an exciting transition phase form on-prem to SaaS, from ASP.NET front-end to React. The core backend technology remains .NET, and the back office technology ASP.NET. The work is very diverse, and the team has a lot of autonomy, and works in a friendly agile environment. XMPie sells to SMBs as well as known enterprises like FedEx, Wells Fargo, Staples, Office Depot, Target, Chrysler, Fiat, Regus and many others. XMPie provides its employees an agile and friendly environment of a small company – but is backed by the resources and sales power of its mother company, Xerox Software Group. We are searching for team players who are enthusiastic about their work, friendly, able to do rapid development while focusing on high quality delivery, and fit the following requirements: Key Responsibilities Implement feature specification, from technology research, through design, coding and unit testing. Work closely with the Scrum team: Developers, Product Manager and QA Engineers to ensure a successful release. Employ Scrum values: Commitment, Openness, Respect, … Actively share knowledge with team members on techniques and technologies of modern software development. Clearly and regularly communicate with colleagues and stakeholders. Take ownership of software quality by including component automated tests, cooperating with the QA engineers to ensure high quality features. Requirements 4-8 Years of hands-on design/development experience. Very high practical knowledge of backend web development using .NET, ASP.NET, WebForms, and REST API. Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented development. Strong knowledge with database programming and optimizations, MS SQL Server. Good social skills The following skills are desirable: Design and design patterns. Experience and understanding of multi-tier architectures. Experience developing enterprise scale products. Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary. Good understanding of client and business perspectives B.Sc/BA in Computer Science with high achievements from a reputable Academic Institution
