Position Overview Today's PCB designs are more advanced and demanding than ever, requiring increased verification and analysis to ensure first-pass success. We are strengthening our European PCB Team with an Application Engineer who will help customers address these challenges. This role spans the entire PCB design and analysis workflow, making a strong background in both PCB design and electrical analysis essential. You will be responsible for a wide range of pre-sales activities, including identifying customer needs, delivering targeted product presentations, demonstrations, and workshops, and supporting customer deployments. We are looking for a results-oriented and accountable professional who thrives in an international environment, while also being capable of working independently when required. Key Responsibilities • Lead pre-sales activities and growth initiatives for Siemens EDA PCB Design and Analysis solutions • Deliver technical sales support, including compelling product presentations tailored to customer requirements, product demonstrations, customer evaluation support, and competitive benchmarking • Support customer adoption of advanced product capabilities and provide guidance on design methodologies • Act as a trusted advisor to engineers and lower-level management, helping customers solve PCB design and analysis challenges using Siemens EDA solutions • Collaborate closely with Sales Account Teams and technical colleagues to develop sales strategies and tactical plans for business growth • Communicate customer requirements to Siemens EDA product divisions and help influence product development in areas that benefit customers • Participate in sales and outbound marketing activities, including trade shows, workshops, seminars, and webcasts Qualifications • Several years of experience as an Electronics Engineer working with both PCB design and analysis • Strong understanding of the overall PCB development process, with particular expertise in PCB design and analysis • Solid knowledge of modern high-performance PCB analysis challenges and solutions, including Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), DDR analysis, and high-speed SERDES channels • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills in English • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to helping customers succeed and driving business growth for Siemens EDA • Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities to continuously expand expertise in a rapidly changing market Preferred Skills • Programming or scripting experience • Experience within the Telecommunications and/or Military/Aerospace industries • Knowledge of Xpedition, HyperLynx, or Valor • Experience with 3D electromagnetic modeling • Familiarity with competitor tools and methodologies • Self-motivated approach to tackling new challenges and learning new tools and methodologies Why Us We are Siemens: At Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work—hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy. Compensation The total cash compensation range for this position is 406,200 to 893,700 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target (100% achievement). The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
