Equivalent to ₪336,000 gross/year. Exceptional senior candidates considered above range. About the role We are looking for a highly hands-on electronics lab technician to help set up and operate an experimental electronics/energy lab. This person will be our on-the-ground owner for lab setup, equipment ordering, wiring, instrumentation, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, third-party lab coordination, and eventually running experiments independently. This is a practical, hands-on role. Real electronics and lab experience matters more than formal credentials. Responsibilities Set up and maintain an electronics/experimental lab. Identify, source, and order tools, parts, sensors, instruments, and lab equipment. Wire, assemble, and troubleshoot experimental systems. Operate power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, sensors, loads, and related lab equipment. Help design and implement measurement setups, including energy-balance measurements. Run experiments according to procedure and carefully document results. Coordinate with third-party labs, vendors, and equipment suppliers. Maintain clear documentation, wiring notes, setup photos, BOMs, procedures, and experiment logs. Eventually operate the experimental setup independently. Requirements Significant hands-on electronics experience. Comfort with lab instruments, wiring, sensors, power supplies, measurement systems, and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and solve practical problems. Careful documentation and attention to experimental detail. Strong reliability, urgency, and follow-through. Ability to work onsite and be the “legs on the ground” for the lab. Helpful but not required Engineering degree or practical engineering background. Experience with DAQ, LabVIEW, Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PLCs, or similar. Experience with thermal measurements, energy balance, calorimetry, power electronics, or instrumentation. Experience in R&D labs, hardware testing, industrial controls, field service, aerospace, medical devices, or university labs. What matters most We need someone who can make things happen: set up the lab, get equipment working, debug issues, run tests carefully, and help produce reliable measurements.
