QA engineers employ a range of manual and automated tools and technologies. About the Position As an experienced QA engineer at Qualcomm, you will: * Work closely with Software, Wireless (RF), Security and Product engineering teams on validation of internal and customer projects * Develop software and system test plans covering all aspects of the product * Design and execute manual and automated tests based on detailed requirements * Produce reports detailing the results and analysis of test executions * Analyze, identify, record and track bugs Basic Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following: * 5+ years of experience in manual and/or automated testing, including: * Analyzing requirements and acceptance criteria * Designing and implementing tests * Writing and executing test scripts * Implementing strict QA processes and methodologies * Experience in embedded/communication systems * Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to details * Excellent communication skills * Solid end-to-end system understanding * Self-learning skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas would be considered an advantage: * Linux / RTOS * Communication systems, specifically: RF, IEEE802.11 protocols, 3GPP protocols * Automotive, Aerospace or Medical quality standards and methodologies * Security and cryptography Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience. *Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience. *References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
