Full Stack Developer, Database Engineer (DBA & Data Platform Owner), web-based UI Frontend
Full Stack Developer, Database Engineer (DBA & Data Platform Owner), web-based UI Frontend (all genders) Briefly We are seeking a hands-on Database Engineer (DBA) to take full ownership of our company’s data infrastructure. As a semiconductor startup, we generate and manage diverse data streams from 3rd-party testing facilities, internal R&D groups, Semiconductor Engineering, Reliability, and Power Labs. This role is both strategic and highly technical: you will define long-term data architecture, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and build the end to end data systems—including the backend, data pipelines, and user-facing tools/GUI. The ideal candidate is an independent builder, comfortable creating systems from the ground up in a fast-paced environment, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, improve reliability, and automate workflows. Quick info Location: Hybrid / On‑site Start: TBD Type : Full time Industry: Semiconductor / Advanced R&D Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & DBA Ownership • Build and own the company’s complete database architecture (cloud/on prem/hybrid). • Design scalable data models for engineering, validation, reliability, and production datasets. • Establish best practices for database performance, optimization, indexing, caching, and security. • Define and enforce data governance, quality, retention, and compliance policies. Data Pipeline & Integration • Develop automated ingestion pipelines for: o 3rd-party test data (ATE, reliability, environmental tests, etc.). o Internal engineering data (measurement systems, lab data, internal tools). • Work closely with R&D groups to gather requirements and translate them into a unified data platform. • Integrate diverse file formats and data types: logs, measurement results, reliability curves, wafer maps, images, CSV/JSON, etc. Tools, UI & Application Development • Develop internal tools, dashboards, and a user-friendly GUI for: o Data browsing o Metadata tagging and search o Visualization o Querying and reporting • Build APIs for programmatic access to data and automation workflows. AI Integration & Automation • Use AI tools to accelerate development (code generation, ETL automation, data cleaning). • Train/maintain AI-assisted workflows for: o Automated anomaly detection o Data classification and mapping o Schema generation and documentation • Continuously adopt emerging AI technologies to improve efficiency and system robustness. Cross Team Collaboration • Work with Semiconductor Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Power Lab teams, and additional R&D stakeholders to define data requirements. • Translate engineering needs into technical specifications and productized solutions. • Manages communication across teams to ensure accurate and accessible data. Operations & Support • Ensure system availability, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring. • Manage user access, permissions, and secure data access controls. • Provide support for data issues, training, and onboarding of new users. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills 5+ years of experience as a DBA, Data Engineer, or Full‑Stack Data Developer. Proved hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.). Familiarity with non-SQL/NoSQL systems (MongoDB, InfluxDB, or time-series DBs). Expertise in Python for ETL, automation, and data manipulation. Experience building dashboards or GUIs (e.g., React, Angular, Dash, Streamlit). Proved understanding of data modeling, indexing, performance tuning. Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) — highly preferred. Ability to handle large engineering datasets (GB–TB scale). Soft Skills Excellent communication and ability to work with non-software R&D teams. Self-starter capable of building systems from scratch. Proved sense of ownership and responsibility for business-critical infrastructure. love your work. Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) Experience with semiconductor or hardware engineering data. Background with ATE, reliability testing, or lab instrument data. Experience building internal engineering tools for R&D. Familiarity with data security in IP‑sensitive environments.
