Junior Software Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role based in Shoham. The Junior Software Engineer will help design, develop, test, and maintain software components that power WDS’s autonomous warehouse drone platform. Daily tasks include implementing backend features and APIs, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and hardware teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and support system integration. The engineer will also contribute to documentation, basic DevOps tasks, and continuous improvement of development tools and processes. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Practical experience with Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar). Knowledge of Software Development practices, including version control (Git), testing, and debugging. Exposure to Back-End Web Development concepts such as REST APIs, web frameworks, and databases is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work on-site in Shoham, collaborate effectively in a team, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English. Interest in robotics, drones, warehouse automation, or logistics systems is a plus. Willingness to learn, adapt in a startup environment, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
