Elbit Systems Haifa is looking for a student to join the optical design group The Optics Group in Elbit Systems' Aerospace Division is at the forefront of designing advanced optical systems, including head-mounted augmented reality systems with diverse optical capabilities, as well as optical design for integrated systems that combine cameras, detectors, and more. The group is seeking a student who can join the team and be involved in the design of cutting-edge optical technology Requirements B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electro-Optics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with an optics track - minimum of 2 years remaining until graduation Strong knowledge of geometric optics, physical optics, and optomechanical integration Familiarity with scripting or programming in Python, MATLAB, or VBA for design automation or data processing Hands-on experience with optical design software such as CODE V, Zemax, LightTools – an advantage Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material selection for optical components – an advantage High level of motivation, ability to work independently, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills High proficiency in Hebrew and English Availability to work 2 days a week (flexible during exam periods)
