Job Overview We’re looking for an electro-optics engineer who will play a pivotal role in the optical design team. As an electro optic engineer, you will be responsible for the optical design of Teramount’s photonic solutions, defining fabrication tolerances and overseeing optical R&D activities. What You Will Be Doing Optical design of Termount’s packaging solutions. Data analysis of fabricated optics. It will be your responsibility to point out fabrication challenges and verify that outputs meet the defined requirements. Yield prediction and defining optical and mechanical tolerances. Plan, supervise and extract conclusions from R&D lab experiments. Interact with different departments and define targets of the optical R&D process. Interact with vendors and service providers. What We Need to See A bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics: Electro-optics / Applied Physics. Deep understanding of lenses and optical systems in terms of geometric optics and physical optics. Scripting and simulation capabilities in Python or MATLAB. You will be required to acquire a command of Python. High analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Experience with optical simulations. A self- starter: ability to perform physical optical simulations with self-built tools and acquire new skills independently. High mathematical skills. High English Proficiency. Ways to Stand Out Hands-on experience with Zemax and/or Lumerical simulation software. Image processing skills. Practical lab experience.
