Main Goal As a Breeding Assistant in the R&D unit of Hazera, you will work closely with the Breeder and gain exposure to various markets, commercial perspectives, and decision-making processes. You will also learn to manage extensive cross-functional interfaces within a large global organization. Job description Implement breeding programs, including sowing, planting, and laboratory tests. Support field observations and selections both locally and internationally. Train and supervise technicians and seasonal workers. Responsibility for all breeding support activities. Collaborate with local farmers and growers. Document, report, and monitor plant development in breeding plots. Track pollination team activities and perform pollinations in special programs. Maintain breeding software systems (field lists, lab tests, seed inventory, etc.). Coordinate with company laboratories and monitor test results. Working hours: 06:00 – 15:00. What we expect of you B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture or Life Sciences. Valid driver’s license – mandatory. High level of English – mandatory. Background in genetics, molecular biology, and plant physiology – advantage. Knowledge of statistics and statistical programming – an advantage. Motivation for a role combining fieldwork with office tasks. Computer literacy and proficiency in Office applications. Willingness to travel abroad 2–3 times per year.
