About the Role We are looking for a hands on and analytical Optical Product Engineer to join our operations and manufacturing team. In this role, you will own the day to day lifecycle, support, and optimization of our optical products and manufacturing test equipment. You will work closely with test engineering, R&D, and quality teams to ensure seamless manufacturing flows, high product quality, and aggressive yield improvements from New Product Introduction (NPI) to mass production. What you will do: Optical Testers Management & Support: Own the technical performance and availability of optical test and metrology equipment, including troubleshooting, calibration, correlation, capability analysis, and continuous improvement of test systems Yield Ownership: Own FPY and overall manufacturing yield for assigned products. Monitor, analyze, and report on yield metrics and test data to identify trends, isolate excursions, and implement continuous yield enhancement solutions Multidisciplinary Failure Analysis: Drive day to day problem solving by conducting multidisciplinary failure analysis (optical, electrical, and mechanical) to root cause production issues quickly Process Development & DOEs: Support new product development and engineering changes by designing, executing, and analyzing Design of Experiments (DOEs) Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with operations, R&D, and test engineering to resolve floor issues, implement corrective actions, and improve test coverage and test time Manufacturing & ODM Support: Act as the technical point of contact for manufacturing partners, driving resolution of production issues, yield excursions, tester issues, and process deviations Production Readiness: Support NPI transfer to manufacturing, including process validation, test readiness, equipment qualification, and production ramp-up Test Automation & Data Analytics: Develop and improve automated data collection using AI tools, analysis, and reporting tools to reduce manual analysis, accelerate troubleshooting, and improve test coverage and manufacturing efficiency What we are looking for: B.Sc. in Electro-Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience in product engineering, yield analysis, or test engineering - preferably within a high-tech manufacturing, electro-optics, or semiconductor environment Strong background in optical systems and testing methodologies Experience with data analysis, statistical tools (e.g., JMP/SQL, Python), and data-driven troubleshooting Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, 5-Why) Hands on mindset, strong problem solving orientation, and excellent communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment
