As a DB2 Mainframe DBA, you will be responsible for the availability, performance, maintenance, and optimization of DB2 databases in a z/OS environment. You will work closely with development teams, support complex development processes, implement infrastructure solutions, and play a key role in maintaining stable, efficient, and highly available database environments. What You'll Do: Install, maintain, and support DB2 products and related infrastructure in a z/OS environment Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance and operational processes Design and maintain DB2 databases while ensuring high availability, stability, and performance Work closely with development teams, providing professional guidance and support throughout development processes Analyze system requirements and design and implement database and infrastructure solutions Troubleshoot database and system-related issues in complex enterprise environments Support ongoing improvements and optimization of database processes and infrastructure Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA – Must Proven experience working with DB2 in a z/OS / Mainframe environment – Must Strong SQL knowledge and experience with DB2 utilities – Must Hands-on knowledge of JCL and REXX – Must Familiarity with infrastructure products and Mainframe environments – Must Knowledge of SMP/E and RACF – Advantage Strong system-level and analytical thinking Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex technical challenges Independent learning ability, initiative, and a proactive approach Strong execution skills and high motivation ‍
