Software Engineer
Description Mentee Robotics is redefining humanoid automation with an AI-first approach - integrating cutting-edge perception, reasoning, and dexterous manipulation into a fully autonomous humanoid robot that continuously adapts and learns. We're not building for a single task. We're building a Universal Humanoid - one platform (hardware + software) that can perform any human task across two environments: Consumer (homes) first, and B2B (warehouses) later. Our flagship product, Menteebot, is designed for human-like adaptability across the full range of real-world environments - from living rooms to logistics floors - performing complex tasks with the generality and dexterity of a person. Join the team that serves as Mentee's early adopters - the first to take Menteebot's newest capabilities out of the lab and turn them into reliable external demonstrations. You will write automation and integration code, operate the robot on-site, and work closely with all R&D teams (AI, SW, Robotics, Mechanics) to ensure every demonstration performs on the first take. The role demands genuine multidisciplinary depth across AI, computer vision, and robotics - and the composure to debug, adapt, and execute under pressure in front of high-stakes audiences. Responsibilities Design and develop the automation and integration code that turns Menteebot's newest capabilities into end-to-end demonstration scenarios. Own the full demonstration lifecycle for assigned projects - from scenario design and code development through rehearsal and live execution. Work with engineering teams to integrate the latest capabilities into demonstrations and identify areas for improvement. Develop test plans, rehearsal procedures, and readiness checklists for assigned demonstrations. As an early adopter of every new capability, collect and communicate structured feedback to the engineering organization after each engagement - what generalizes, what breaks, and where to invest next. Requirements 3+ years of work experience in robotics, AI, computer vision, or autonomous systems Engineering degree Experience with Python, C++, and Linux Hands-on experience integrating ML or CV models on real hardware Working knowledge of robotics building blocks Calm and decisive under pressure; comfortable with ambiguity and tight timelines Clear communication skills; able to coordinate across cross-functional stakeholders Advantages ROS2 experience Prior experience preparing or operating robots for live demonstrations
