Description We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our R&D team at Colmex Group. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our fintech products and platforms. You will work with modern cloud technologies, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, and innovative solutions in a dynamic technological environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs. Build and optimize cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. Collaborate closely with Frontend, Mobile, Product, DevOps, and Data teams. Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and security. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues. Promote engineering best practices, code quality, automated testing, and continuous improvement. Requirements 5+ years of hands-on backend software development experience. Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript . Proven experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and backend services. Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems architecture. Strong experience developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure . Hands-on experience with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and Application Insights. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments. Strong understanding of software design principles, security, scalability, and performance optimization. Experience with automated testing and modern software engineering practices. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have Experience with NestJS . Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or MSSQL. Background in fintech, trading platforms, or financial services. Experience with Kubernetes (AKS). Experience developing high-volume, customer-facing systems.
