Description We’re on the hunt for a hands-on Senior Developer to take ownership of the client-side monetization stack at Overwolf Ads – from the ad unit runtime and auction engine to the management console. As a Senior Developer on our AdTech team, you’ll take projects from initial planning to production deployment, keeping our ad technology running reliably and efficiently across publisher environments. You’ll combine hands-on coding with technical leadership, collaborating with developers across Israel and the US to build and optimize the systems powering our ad monetization. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Take end-to-end ownership of the ad unit runtime, client-side auction engine, and management console, ensuring reliable delivery, stability, and performance across publisher environments and browsers Lead project deployments involving developers in Israel and the US, including pull request reviews, production deployment approvals, and incident handling during US working hours Define and scope incoming product and technical requests from Overwolf Ads, BI, and Apps, translating them into clear, actionable development tasks Drive the client-side publisher migration to completion, including the required wrapper support Expand monetization coverage across Overwolf and new bidder publishers, supporting additional players and ad formats Develop and optimize revenue-focused capabilities, including yield logic, dynamic floors, bidder ID support, and platform features Write, review, and deliver production-ready code, taking personal accountability for what ships to production Requirements 6+ years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in vanilla JavaScript, particularly within third-party publisher environments Backend development experience with PHP 8 or Go and REST APIs Deep understanding of ad tech technologies, including header bidding, Prebid, OpenRTB, and ad serving Experience working with video ad players and formats, including instream, outstream, and rewarded video Previous experience at an ad tech company, such as an SSP, ad server, header bidding wrapper provider, or publisher-side monetization platform Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with US-based developers and cross-functional teams Bonus Points A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Experience defining and shaping product requirements beyond technical implementation Experience as a Team Lead or in another senior role Passion for gaming and a solid understanding of gaming culture Ability to fix bidder timeouts, rally the team, and still beat the coffee machine (or at least the final boss)
